Toyota says it will invest $3.4 billion in California and Nevada, expanding its U.S. transportation fleet

Toyota is increasing its U-Haul fleet in California, Nevada and Arizona, the automaker said Thursday.

In Nevada, the U-haul service provider has added 3,300 vehicles and added 8,000 new drivers, Toyota said.

In Arizona, Toyota added more than 2,600 vehicles and more than 1,600 new drivers.

The automaker expects to invest more than $1 billion in its U.-haul fleet, Toyota’s chief financial officer said.

Toyota said it plans to add an additional 3,400 U-haul vehicles and nearly 700 vehicles for the next five years.
